This Privacy Policy explains how Perth Cabins (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information collected through perthcabins.ca (the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you submit the contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided) and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and, if you go on to book, to communicate with you about your stay.
- Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our host (Netlify) records standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and pages visited. If website analytics are enabled, aggregated, non-identifying usage data may also be collected (see “Cookies and analytics” below).
We do not collect payment card details on this Site. All booking and payment information is collected and processed by our third-party booking provider (see “Third-party services”).
How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and provide customer service
- To take, confirm and manage bookings
- To send information relevant to a stay you have booked
- To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations
- To detect and prevent fraud or misuse of the Site
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
The Site itself does not require cookies to function. If we enable Google Analytics or a similar tool, it may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure site traffic in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Embedded third-party content (such as a map or the booking widget) may set its own cookies governed by that provider’s policy.
Third-party services
We rely on the following third parties, each with its own privacy policy:
- Netlify — website hosting and contact-form processing
- Lodgify — booking engine, calendar and guest management
- PayPal (via Lodgify) — payment processing
- Esri / OpenStreetMap — map tiles for the location map on our Contact page
When you make a booking you are also subject to the terms and privacy policies of Lodgify and PayPal.
How long we keep information
We keep contact-form messages and booking records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal and tax requirements, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, or to withdraw consent. To make a request, contact us using the details below. Canadian residents may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised.
